About our classes
First established in 2019, we now run a variety of classes to suit your needs in both South East London and Kent. Please see our class timetables on the home and classes page for exact times and days and our FAQ's section for flyers with locations and prices. Here you will find some more detailed information about each class. Classes are everchanging so if you don't see the class you want currently, please do get in touch as we're always adding them back into our timetable! These classes were created with parents and children at the forefront of my mind. It's so important to get out and about and support our mental health, as well as for your child to pick up key skills to help them on their transition to nursery and school. Our classes are for parents (Mums and Dads) as well as Grandparents, Childminders and other caregivers!
Research shows that exposure to music can improve children's ability to learn. It has been shown to improve children's memory, cognitive development, learning skills and expressive ability. Our classes promote group learning, practicing social skills and further include discovery and sensory time. They are taught by experienced teachers and childcare professionals, all with amazing personalities (if I don’t say so myself!). We always start with our welcome song, then have familiar nursery rhymes as well as new songs, then we have discovery and sensory time. Followed by this, we have a little social break where children play with each other and we as a group interact. Finally, we have some quiet time with calmer, more relaxed activities (most of the time!). Classes are tailored to suit newborn to age 1 and then age 1-4. Younger siblings are welcome to the older class and will be actively participating with props like they were in the 0-1 class. This class really can cater to both age ranges even if they only attend one class!
Wiggle and Jiggle - Music and Movement
Stay and Play
My first playgroup was established in 2019 in Bexley and is still very much at the heart of what we do. We currently run Bexley on a Friday and Peters Village also on a Friday. The groups consists of play and discovery, fruit and snack followed by story and songs/games. These playgroups are really like no other, as they are planned carefully around the Early Years Framework, ensuring we have the areas of the Framework within our group to help children progress no matter what their age. From our dedicated baby area where babies and toddlers can develop fine motor skills, eye contact, gross motor skills, imagination and senses; to role play areas which are ever changing, exploratory play to develop imagination and fine motor skills, a ball
pit and cars and bikes for gross motor skills and play, as well as arts and crafts such as drawing, colouring, cutting and sticking, painting to even planting seeds! As well as all of the activities going on, it's time for parents and carers to relax, catch up with friends and make new ones, have a chat with your class leader and have a hot drink! At the end we always read a story and either play some games or sing some songs. Suitable from birth to age 5. Special events suitable up to age 7.
Exploratory Play (Messy Play)
These classes are not just for messy play lovers, as we mix a variety of messy play with dry play to suit everyone! Suitable from 6 months to school age. Planned with the Early Years Curriculum in mind, each week is based on a theme to bring imaginative play and exploration to life. Children build on fine and gross motor skills, as well as building confidence, concentration and working on problem solving. Exploratory play builds on children's curiosity as well as encouraging a positive approach to new experiences. During play, children express a high volume of involvement and select and use resources independently. We suggest they wear suitable clothing, although aprons are provided. As well as our trays, children can also partake in puzzles ands jigsaws, lego, arts and crafts and playdough! There's also free hot drinks for the adults and biscuits for the children! We run a messy play class on Thursday in Shorne.
Nature Play/Nature School
These sessions are about exploring our outside world. From learning about gardens, to plants, animals and insects, to creating garden reefs, bird feeders and bug hotels, these classes have something for everyone! These sessions are suitable from 1 year to end of Primary age and will be split into toddlers and pre school, primary and home education groups. The benefits of playing in nature are almost infinite. Spending time in nature keeps children’s minds fresh. It exposes them to varying situations where they are forced to learn and adapt to best fit themselves into the prevailing conditions. For instance, playing in uneven heights, conditions and surfaces helps children to hone their coordination and balancing skills. It increases risk taking and negotiating risks such as climbing trees. Direct association with nature also has both mental and physical benefits. It has been proven to improve mood, reduce depression and mental fatigue.
Story, Make and Shake!
This class is suitable from babies to school age. It incorporates the Early Years Curriculum from Art and creative design, to communication and language, reading, physical development, Understanding the World and everything in between!

We start with a story, then we create a craft and do activities based on the story and finally we have a sing and a dance and play games! The children get so much from this session, and it creates an enjoyment to a new story.
BABY YOGA
This class is suitable from babies to crawling/walking age. Yoga focusses you and your baby while increasing co-ordination, balance and communication through movement, touch, songs and stretching.

Don't just take our word for it! This is what others have to say about us.

It has been such a relief finding a place where I felt both of my children were catered for with age-appropriate activities. Gemma has been great with my eldest, encouraging her to stretch her learning of singing, reading, counting and imagination. She never wants to leave class! Lyssa Jenkins – a regular attendee of our classes.
Gemma teaches so well in class and gives ideas to engage my son both at home and in class. He has overcome his shyness of new experiences and meeting new people. THANK YOU!” Emma – attendee of Story, make and shake and playgroups.

I love that Gemma mixes up the toys each week. I have been attending for 2 years and it's the highlight of the girls week! Great and safe space for my twins! Lauren - attendee of our playgroups.

S loves this group, the freedom to run and the variety of toys. Gemma is always engaging with the children throughout the whole session, making time for everyone. She's always prepared and on trend for the season. Always a variety of toys, S is never bored and always loves coming. Becky - attendee of our playgroups.

The club is great! They love the free play style and so do I! There is always a good mixture of toys and activities available. I can bring my baby and my toddler and both have interesting things to play with which are clean and age appropriate. We love story time and songs which engages the children well. Gemma is clearly from an education background. We love playgroup exactly as it is and I intend to keep attending! Katherine - regular attendee of playgroup.

My daughter and I absolutely love the wiggle and jiggle classes. We have signed up for another term. Staff are super friendly and welcoming. The mummy’s are a nice bunch too and there is lots of interaction with both the children and parents which makes this a great group for us new mums. Stacey - attendee of previous wiggle and jiggle community sessions.
